Bangles
1982 Original Pressing On The Faulty Products Label. Their 5 Track Debut Release. The Bangles’ 1986 album “Different Light” marked a significant turning point for the Los Angeles-based band, showcasing their evolution from the jangly, garage-influenced pop of their debut to a more polished, radio-friendly sound. Released on Columbia Records, the album features their breakout hit “Walk Like an Egyptian,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 and became one of the defining songs of the 1980s. Other notable singles include “Manic Monday,” penned by Prince under the pseudonym Christopher, and “If She Knew What She Wants.” The album’s production, handled by David Kahne, leaned into brighter harmonies and layered arrangements, broadening the group’s appeal beyond their early roots in the Paisley Underground scene.
